International Translation Day was celebrated on 30 September, 2017 in China by Translators Association of China (TAC) and its members, including corporation members, individual members and local translation associations in different Provinces, Autonomous Regions and Municipalities.

      As the first annual event since The United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution declaring September 30 as International Translation Day, this was a great opportunity to display pride in translation profession which is becoming increasingly essential in the era of progressing globalization. On this day, Translators Association of China reiterated its objective and purpose to promote international communication and cooperation; as well as promoting mutual exchanges and learning between various cultures and civilizations.

 
      The poster designed by The International Federation of Translators (FIT) was widely disseminated through Internet and social networks in China.
